Heritage Oaks Park Concession Cafe
The City of West Sacramento is requesting proposals from qualified and experienced food service operators interested in operating the Concession Café at Heritage Oaks Park located at 1300 Lake Washington Blvd.
The Concession Cafe is located in the Southport area of West Sacramento and is directly adjacent to Heritage Oaks Park and playground with several residential home developments nearby. The park site is part of a larger master plan that will add several amenities to the site over time through a $3 million grant from the National Park Service Land and Water Conservation Fund.
The cafe is an approximately 1800 square foot facility, which includes 2 single-use restrooms, a storage space, and 1100 square feet of usable outdoor patio space. The space was previously built and run as a concession and training area for Tree Top Sac, a ropes course located at Heritage Oaks Park.
The café is a limited-service food preparation facility that is currently being offered free of charge for up to 2 years.

Club Pheasant
The City of West Sacramento, in partnership with Turton Commercial Real Estate (TCRE), is marketing the historic Club Pheasant property located at 2525 Jefferson Boulevard to prospective developers, restaurant and retail operators with the goal of revitalizing the property to include food-related uses, while preserving the property’s legacy as a West Sacramento landmark. Proposals are due March 29, 2024, and information about the property and Request for Proposals may be found on TCRE’s website: http://turtoncom.com/property/club-pheasant/.
The City acquired the restaurant property from the Palamidessi family in 2022 when they retired and closed the restaurant after operating for 87 years as a favorite West Sacramento dining and gathering spot. The City has declared the site as surplus property pursuant to the California Surplus Land Act (SLA) in April 2023. After completing the required SLA noticing process, the City contracted with Turton Commercial Real Estate to market the property and assist with soliciting proposals for the purchase and reuse of the site.
